Initial Medical File Review
After conferring with counsel and being retained, I conduct a comprehensive review of the patient's medical record and perform a thorough analysis of the medical care provided to the patient as reflected in the medical record.
Medical Expert Witness
Following my initial medical record file review and analysis, I evaluate any additional information provided so that my opinion regarding whether the healthcare provider(s) met the standard of care is comprehensive and based upon all available information. I deliver an objective expert opinion regarding the appropriateness of the medical care rendered to the patient in verbal or written format, as requested.

EMTALA Violations
Due to my vast experience working in various facility settings with differing resources, I am uniquely qualified to review cases involving an alleged EMTALA violation. There are many nuances involved when a provider is faced with an EMTALA situation, and I understand how to evaluate EMTALA compliance in light of the medical presentation of the patient, the actions of the patient, the resources available to the healthcare providers, and the hospital setting in which the patient presented.
